Mocking up the new brake bracket and new master cylinder

Sunday, November 6, 2016

I'm not going to add a lot of modern parts to this project. Trying to keep it old style hot rodding, but some parts make sense.
Here's a brake bracket so I can convert to dual master cylinder. These are Speedway parts.

Also, the engine and transmission crossmembers are universal and not expensive. These are CPP parts.

Here's the engine on the burn-in stand. This engine is special to me. Grant Koontz rebuilt/blueprinted a Chevy 250 for his senior project at Villa Park High School. We are using his bottom end for this project. Trent Koontz also rebuilt/blueprinted a Chevy 250 for his senior car project and we are using the top end cylinder head for this project. I added the valve cover and Holley and now it quite the father/sons project.

We removed the cab and it's time to go forward on the project!

Over the last several months, we remove the body parts.

This is the truck at home in May, 2016.

This is the ad for craigslist. It was April, 2016.
